Achievements Shape The World

Challoner’s High girls are on cloud nine today after results went up again this year, despite changes including the new 9 – 1 grading system in English and Maths.

75% of all grades were A*/A or 9/7, up 3% on last year and 5% on 2015.  Maths has shone particularly brightly with 31% of all grades being the new gold star standard 9 (3% nationally).  English Literature and Language results also continued to rise; three quarters of all grades are 7 or above, despite the more rigorous exams.

Delighted Year 11 students at Dr Challoner’s High School, Little Chalfont have been celebrating their success, the culmination of years of endeavour and commitment.  Anya Behl, who achieved six A*s, two 9s and an 8 said, “I was so happy this morning that I cried.”

Mrs Cooper-Smith, proud mother of Natasha, said, “Sincere thanks to the school for their support – all the hard work paid off.”

For the third year running all girls have passed both Maths and English Language; none are allowed to slip through the net.

Headteacher Alan Roe said, “We are so delighted for our wonderful students.  They are a great year group – creative, characterful, sparky and enormously hard working – and they deserve all of the success they are enjoying.  Thank you to our exceptionally experienced and passionate staff who bring the best out of our girls.  Our GCSE results have improved significantly over the last two years.”
