Challenge Partners review of our school, March 2023

Sub-Menu

“The quality of provision in the school is exceptionally strong. Year on year, the school builds on its high level of academic outcomes, enabling students to enter Oxbridge, Russell Group universities of their choice, or join high level apprenticeships with global companies. Teachers’ expert subject and pedagogical knowledge directly contributes to this success.” (Challenge Partners March 2023)

At the beginning of March 2023, Challenge Partners conducted an incredibly rigorous but supportive quality assurance review of our school over three days, and we are delighted to have been accredited with the top category, ‘Leading’ in all areas.  Challenge Partners is a long-standing national education organisation, best known for its thorough quality assurance work.  The review team was led by a highly experienced professional with significant experience as an Ofsted inspector.

The team reviewed a wide range of core aspects of our school and the resultant report, which can be accessed by clicking this link  Challenge Partners QAR is a perceptive and exceptionally  positive review. The reviewers loved being in lessons, where ‘high levels of engagement are a given’ and ‘positive relationships, based on mutual respect, abound in all classrooms.’ They saw at every turn that our values ‘represent the heartbeat of the school.’

We were delighted that our Sixth Form enrichment offer – which bridges the gap between school life and the adult world and is the product of four years of development and review – was accredited as an area of excellence:

“Leaders have developed an enrichment programme that goes far beyond what most sixth forms are able to offer. The philosophy that the programme represents is for students to receive an education that is not shaped for them, but an education shaped by them. “

Programmes from Years 7 to 13 to develop resilience, leadership and confidence were also identified as key strengths, along with our co-curricular programme, which included 68 clubs and societies in the Autumn Term.

I would encourage you to read the report and I would like to thank all members of our school community for their contribution to providing the best possible education for girls so that they will shape the world.  It is one big team effort!
