We have a wonderful opportunity to work as a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) as part of our friendly and very capable special educational needs (SEND) and pastoral team. The role will provide learning support to individuals and groups of students, with a particular focus on supporting a student with visual impairment. It is essential that the successful candidate has the ability to modify lesson resources using IT and can complete other routine record keeping and admin. The post will suit someone with a friendly and supportive disposition and with a real commitment to providing the best possible support for young people, and an enthusiasm to develop SEND knowledge and expertise. Student Support Officer

Our Student Support Officers are central to our pastoral care; this is a great opportunity to make a really significant positive difference in the lives of many young people. The role provides first line support and mentoring to students on all aspects of their pastoral issues, assists in the implementation of school policies including behaviour, provides some support for special educational needs and also aspects of administration for the pastoral team. The postholder will work in a highly supportive, friendly and capable pastoral team, with girls who are a real privilege and joy to work with.
The successful candidate will be caring, compassionate and have a professional disposition. They will have some experience with secondary school age students, will be an excellent communicator, a good administrator and an upbeat and collaborative team player.

Exam Invigilators
Zero Hours Contract
December 2024 / January 2024
Dr Challoner’s High is looking to boost its team of exam invigilators to supervise examinations and to ensure that guidelines and regulations for the integrity and security of the examination papers and procedures are followed during examination sessions.
We have a lovely hard-working team who work together to ensure that the exams run smoothly and that the girls are supported as much as they possibly can be.
No specific examination experience is necessary (training will be provided) however an understanding of the formality and importance of the examinations should be appreciated, that exams are carried out according to the rules and conditions as set out by the applicable examination board.
