Big Win for Telos at Buckinghamshire Young Enterprise Finals

Telos, a Young Enterprise Company, made up of 16-17 year olds from Dr Challoner’s Grammar School and Dr Challoner’s High School Buckinghamshire, have written The 100% Book, an advice book for teenagers.

On Friday 6th May, Telos went to Bucks University Technical College in Aylesbury for the County Finals of Young Enterprise. There were a range of schools from across the county who had won or come runner up in their Area Finals, including another team from Dr Challoner’s, Endeavour.

Telos set up their Trade Stand and had to discuss various aspects of their company and The 100% Book with the judges who attended the event as well as other esteemed guests such as the Mayor of Aylesbury and Steven Cook, a World Champion for Kick Boxing. Rohan, Michael and Red, 3 members of Telos, gave an outstanding presentation to the rest of the teams and all the judges and guests.

After hearing an inspiring speech from Steven Cook about the struggles and hardships he has faced as a World Kick Boxing Cham-pion, the judges presented the awards to all the teams. Telos were awarded Best Company Report, Runner Up Best Trade Stand and Runner Up Best Presentation as well as the coveted award of Best Overall Company in Buckinghamshire which secures them a place at the next round of the Young Enterprise Competition. Telos will be representing the whole of Bucks in the regional, South East Compe-tition to be held on June 14 at Reading University.

Social Media Director, Mimi Bullivant said following the win, “We were shocked to win this amazing award and are unbelievably proud of the success of Telos and The 100% Book, we are so excited to be competing in the next regional round!”

Telos would like to thank everyone who has purchased a copy of the book, as well as our Business Advisors, Jess, Linda and Jazz. The 100% Book is available to purchase on the website

Muck Up Day

Jurassic world came to Challoner's on muck up day! Good luck Year 13!

The Blitz

The brief was to research Bizet. Alice Hughes and Amelia Watson in Year 9 submitted two of the most creative and inventive pieces of work. A fully working cassette tape, that Mrs Wood could unwind to read and a double sided homemade vinyl record.
