Lady of the Flies

The girl-led production in aid of Girls’ Gift will be on 30th June and 1st July. The play has been entirely written, pro-duced and directed by our multi-talented girls and we guarantee an inspirational evening. Tickets will be on sale from Wednesday 15th June in the foyer. Please keep your eyes peeled for emails as how else to order your tickets. Your support will be much appreciated. 

Performances at 7:00 pm in the Hall on both nights. 

Rowing

Tasha Strudwick competed at the Marlow Rowing Club at the National Schools Regatta at Eton Dorney Lake in the WJ16 Coxed Four, and won the event out of 17 other crews. They won the final by two lengths of clear water and received the Anna Fangen Cup. 

The team are now busy training for their next big event on 18/19th June, Henley Women's Regatta. 

Congratulations to all the girls! Emily Bourne (Amersham School), Gini Holmes (Pipers Corner), Charlotte Fennell (Chesham Grammar), Tasha Strudwick and the cox, Molly Fennell. 

Hockey

Bucks U14 Hockey selection; congratulations to all the DCHS girls who have been picked to attend an U15 Junior Regional Perfor-mance Centre over the summer. 

U15; Emily Came, Emily Mann U16; Emily Sankey; Tilly Mason U17; Emma Cross U18 Zoe Fahmy 

Tennis

Year 8 Tennis —Four couples played against Godstowe just before the holidays, it was a good match with some excellent play. The over-all score was 2 - 6 to Godstowe , but all the girls played well. 

 

Cricket

15 Yr5/6 Cricket teams came together on 26th May from across our School Games Area. Close battles were contested and Great Mis-senden came through victorious, both in the Girls' and Boys' Competitions. They now go through to the County School Games Final on 22nd June in High Wycombe. The day would not have been possible without the Umpiring of our brilliant Sports Leaders. They were true ambassadors for themselves and our school, showing the younger generation that Girls Can and Do! 

Dance

Sophie Emmins and Flora Allum, Year 13, will be representing their dance school (Ondine Academy) this Sunday as they will be dancing in the Patron’s Lunch Parade in the Mall celebrating The Queen’s patronage of over 600 charities. 

Sophie and Flora will be representing the Royal Academy of Dance of which the Queen is Patron. 

It will be televised on the BBC in the afternoon so please look out for them dancing in the Orange section.
